In a busy radiology department, small details can make a meaningful difference to the daily workflow.
With the visit to Fujian Xianyou General Hospital, the SONTU team met with radiology staff to hear about their experience with our ceiling-mounted DR system. According to the hospital team, the system supports nearly 100 patient examinations a day.
Two features stood out in their feedback:
Saved mappings for examination codes
Worklist examination codes do not always match the examination presets on a DR system, requiring technologists to select the appropriate anatomical region manually.
When an unfamiliar code appears, the SONTU system prompts the technologist to link it to the corresponding examination preset and save the mapping. The system then applies that mapping whenever the same code appears again, reducing repetitive manual selection.
One-touch positioning at three preset distances
With positioning presets at 1.0 m, 1.3 m and 1.8 m, technologists can select the required position with a single touch, simplifying routine positioning adjustments throughout the day.
These are practical features designed around everyday tasks. In a department handling a high volume of examinations, reducing repeated steps can help make the workflow more straightforward.
At SONTU, supporting our customers continues well beyond installation. Each return visit is an opportunity to listen, understand how our systems perform in daily practice, and identify where we can better support the people who use them.
Thank you to the radiology team at Fujian Xianyou General Hospital for sharing their experience and insights.
